They aren't kidding when they say that adopting a child isn't for the faint of heart. Yesterday we got a 22 page guide from our agency that walks us through the entire process step by step. I am not discouraged by any means...how amazing it will be to be standing on the other side of this season looking back at the whole story! Pictured above are two very important checklists. The one on the right contains every separate step of the process from initial application to the post-placement reports after you have come home with your child. So far we can put checks on the first two boxes! The form on the left is a checklist of the forms we will be putting together for the dossier that goes to the government of Ethiopia. The government uses the dossier to approve us and match us with a child.
